Madha Gaja Raja is an upcoming 2012 action comedy film directed by Sundar C. It stars Vishal in the lead role. Before the release of Kalakalappu, Sundar C was signed on to make a film with Vishal in the lead role, with Vijay Antony selected as music director. Initially Hansika Motwani was approached for the leading role, she couldn’t accommodate her dates. Later Karthika Nair roped in to essay a leading character, as the love interest of Vishal, who plays a triple role for the first time. In a turn of events, Karthika also opted out of the project citing that the script had undergone major changes and revealed that Vishal would only play a single role, as well as there being an addition of an extra lead actress. Varalakshmi Sarathkumar was reported to have replaced her in the film, though soon after Taapsee Pannu was approached to play one of the two lead female roles. Sadha has been roped in for an item number in this movie.
